By ordering from Baked by Steph, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Cakes should be consumed within 5 days of the booking and kept refrigerated once cut.
Cookies have a shelf life of 1 month if kept in an airtight container, otherwise they should be consumed within 5 days of receipt.
Our cakes sometimes contain non-edible items, such as internal support structure. These will be detailed on the Delivery Note and must be removed before serving or eating.
Wedding cakes can be decorated with fresh flowers, we are happy to work with your florist, but request the florist provide the flowers to ensure floral continuity. We can arrange/apply pre-made floral arrangements to the cake. You are responsible for checking the fresh flower’s toxicity. Some flowers are not suitable as cake decorations. Baked by Steph will not be liable for any contamination of the cake as a result of using inappropriate fresh flowers.
Please discuss any allergies or special dietary requirements with us before making payment.
All Baked by Steph products are baked to order in an environment where gluten is heavily used, therefore, We cannot confidently offer gluten-free products.
We also handle nuts in our kitchen and therefore cannot accommodate nut allergies.
We post all items via Royal Mail unless otherwise stated. Nominated day tracked delivery is sent via courier.
We will attempt delivery to an address and postcode as you enter it and cannot accept liability for late or failed delivery due to an incorrect address. If you are unsure of an address or postcode please check it using a postcode finder before ordering.
We’re unable to guarantee delivery dates for Royal Mail services as it’s outside of our control. Please note that if there is no one available to collect the delivery and it is not collected or redelivered quickly, the quality of the product may be slightly compromised and we cannot be held responsible for this.
If you want to cancel your order please be quick, as once we’ve baked your items we can’t offer a refund or take cancellations. Cancellation must usually be made within 24 hours of placing your order, and we may bake your biscuits straight away depending on the time that your order is placed. To cancel an order please email us on email@example.com. This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights.
A 50% deposit is due at the time of placing the order, with the remaining balance due no later than one week before the delivery date. When an order is placed we will block off time to complete it and may also order special supplies. For this reason neither the deposit nor the final balance are refundable.
Alterations and amendments must be submitted via email no later than 6 weeks prior to the booked date.
We will endeavour to make alterations after this time, only where design and time permit. Alterations requested less than 6 weeks before completion may be subject to a surcharge. It is your responsibility to check all quotes and invoices thoroughly before making payment.
We reserve the right to change the design at any point if circumstances beyond our control compromise the quality of the finished product. e.g. weather conditions. You will be notified of any such changes and we will endeavour to keep changes minimal.
If you’re unhappy with any of our items you must notify us in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Complaints should be sent immediately upon receipt of the product. Evidence of any faults, damages or discrepancies should be included. Any refunds will be given entirely at our discretion. We may request that you send the product back to us and provide proof of postage so that we can fully determine the issue.
